FAQ's

What is therapy?

Therapy provides an opportunity to understand and resolve your personal problems. Meeting with one of our amazing therapists will allow you to discuss your problems with a non-judgmental, objective listener who can assist in viewing your struggles differently and developing creative solutions. Your therapist will be knowledgeable about a wide variety of issues and able to provide services to meet your needs.

I am seeing my therapist via Telehealth/Virtual sessions. How do I access the session?

Prior to, or on the day of your virtual session, your therapist will send you an email with a Google Meet link

I was sent forms to the portal on Theranest but I can’t log in to the portal.

Click the link provided in the email that was shared with you. If you can’t remember your password to get into the portal, select Reset Password and try to get into the account after your password is reset.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Your spot is reserved in advance which means other people are unable to reschedule in your place without adequate notice. Our cancellation fee is the cost of one session. Please note that insurance companies DO NOT cover canceled or missed sessions. This is the responsibility of the client.

Do you take insurance?

We do! Depending on your therapist, we accept several insurance coverages. If we do not accept your insurance, we do provide you with a “superbill” which is basically a receipt with a diagnostic code that you can submit to your insurance company.

Are you LBGTQ+ friendly?

YES! All our therapists are sensitive to matters regarding the LGBTQ+ community!

I have specialized training in mood disorders and anxiety disorders and have experience working with children, teens, and adults in various clinical settings from hospital, to community mental health, to in-home services, schools, and group private practice. As an LCSW, I am passionate about helping my clients through their most stressful life circumstances. I help with self-doubt, anxiety, and overall wellness.

Is stress affecting your overall well-being? Perhaps you are under or over sleeping, your health is taking a turn for the worse, you are more sedentary than usual, your mind is racing and is stuck in a loop, you have muscle tension, you are tired for no reason, or you are experiencing pandemic fatigue, burnout, or compassion fatigue.

If this sounds like you, I would like you to imagine feeling refreshed, empowered, optimistic, and ready to take on your day-to-day tasks. You are able to squash self-doubts and “what-ifs” as they come up. You no longer feel like you’re on autopilot. Your mind finally feels a sense of calm and ease that you thought may not ever happen again.

I will work with you to bring out your inherent values and strengths, crush barriers in the way, and treat the anxiety you have been faced with. The imagined scenario above can become a reality.
