I have experience working in partial hospitalization, inpatient psychiatry, and outpatient – treating both children and adults. I’ve helped individuals, couples, and families manage a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem.
I am passionate about helping young adults navigate the “quarter-life crisis”. I am dedicated to helping adults push past their anxieties and uncertainties during this critical life stage. There is no road map, but I can help you carve your own path. I utilize a strengths-based approach to help clients uncover their inherent values and positive traits to reach their goals. I hold a certification in trauma therapy.

Hi, I’m Betsy (pronounced Bet-See) My aim is to help you find the best version of yourself. Sometimes this means processing a deep hurt from the past. Sometimes this means reconfiguring your response to your current situation. Sometimes this means developing skills that will help you meet future circumstances successfully. I’m here for all of it. I’ll draw from concepts of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and strengths-based psychotherapy to meet you where you are and deliver an impactful treatment plan.
I have experience working with obsessive compulsive disorder and am under the direct clinician supervision of Julie Marshall, LCSW, who has extensive OCD training and expertise. I use techniques from mindfulness-based therapy, exposure response prevention, and cognitive behavioral therapy to treat OCD. I hold a Masters in Social Work and have been teaching mindfulness practices since 2001. I enjoy working with people of all ages—adolescents, adults and seniors.

I have specialized training in mood disorders and anxiety disorders and have experience working with children, teens, and adults in various clinical settings from hospital, to community mental health, to in-home services, schools, and group private practice. As an LCSW, I am passionate about helping my clients through their most stressful life circumstances. I help with self-doubt, anxiety, and overall wellness.
Is stress affecting your overall well-being? Perhaps you are under or over sleeping, your health is taking a turn for the worse, you are more sedentary than usual, your mind is racing and is stuck in a loop, you have muscle tension, you are tired for no reason, or you are experiencing pandemic fatigue, burnout, or compassion fatigue.
If this sounds like you, I would like you to imagine feeling refreshed, empowered, optimistic, and ready to take on your day-to-day tasks. You are able to squash self-doubts and “what-ifs” as they come up. You no longer feel like you’re on autopilot. Your mind finally feels a sense of calm and ease that you thought may not ever happen again.
I will work with you to bring out your inherent values and strengths, crush barriers in the way, and treat the anxiety you have been faced with. The imagined scenario above can become a reality.
